Adult Swim

Adult Swim is the name for the television programming block on Cartoon Network, started in the 2001 TV season, that plays animated cartoon series and shorts geared more for adults. Originally, it was almost exclusively geared towards United States animation, but it now features a wide variety of Japanese anime.

The anime titles that currently appear on Adult Swim include: In the past, Adult Swim has also shown (among others): It is also worth noting that despite lackluster popularity in Japan, the series Big O was given a second season due entirely to popularity in the U.S.A. and Cartoon Network funding (although, its creation and direction were still left to the Japanese creators).

On Thursday, February 10, 2004, Inuyasha and Big O restarts from episode 1.

On Monday, February 16, 2004, Cartoon Network adds Witch Hunter Robin to Adult Swim's Monday to Thursday lineup at 3:00 AM and Lupin III is dropped from the Adult Swim lineup (last episode airs on Sunday, February 15, 2004).

On Sunday, February 22, 2004, Big O is added to the Sunday to Thursday Adult Swim lineup at 1:00 AM and again at 4:00 AM, additionally Cowboy Bebop is also added to the Sunday to Thursday Adult Swim lineup at 1:30 AM and again at 4:30 AM.

On Monday, February 23, 2004, Cowboy Bebop restarts with episode 1.
