Anne Sullivan

Anne Sullivan , Annie Sullivan , or Johanna Mansfield Sullivan Macy , (April 14, 1866 - October 20, 1936) was born in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts. After regaining her eyesight from a series of operations and graduating as class valedictorian in 1886 from the Perkins Institute for the Blind, she began teaching Helen Keller.

Anne married John Albert Macy, the editor of Helen's autobiography, on May 2, 1905.
