Antonine Maillet

Antonine Maillet, born May 10,1929 in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, is an Acadian novelist, playwright, and scholar. She lives in Montreal, Quebec.

In 1979 her work Pélagie-la-Charette won the prestigous Prix Goncourt.
