Asopus

A river-god in Greek mythology, Asopus ("never silent") was one of the three-thousand children of Oceanus and Tethys, and father of Aegina. He was the god of the eponymous river that runs through central Boeotia. When his daughter was abducted by Zeus, Asopus attempted to rescue her. Zeus, however, used lightning bolts to defend his catch.

Asopus had a daughter named Sinope with Metope (also Thebe). She was abducted by Apollo. He took her to Paphlagonia, where she gave birth to Syrus. It is not clear if Sinope is the same as the daughter above, kidnapped by Zeus--alternate version?

He was sometimes the father of Antiope.
