ATV is the first Media communication company in HK, it started on the 29th of May in 1957, the original name is 'Rediffusion Television Limited 麗的呼聲', they changed the name to 'Asia Television Limited ATV' since 1982. Their objective is to serve the public, deliver a wide range of entertainment and high quality to the viewers. The company has a strong influence to Chinese people all over the world.

ATV provide 2 channels, channel 2本港台in Chinese and channel 4 in English國際台, continue showing in 24 hours. There are economics, political news, documentary, game show and series showing everyday. One of their favorite show is Who Wants to Be a Millionaire 百萬富翁 it is originally a game show from Britain.

There are over 30 countries which can receive the ATV channel; it is also substitute into different languages for all different countries. This is more convenience to the viewers from other countries.

They produce more than 300 hours of their own series in a year. The best knowing one are 'MY DATE WITH A VAMPIRE 我和殭屍有個約會', 'LIGHT OF MILLION HOPES 萬家燈火', 'HEALING HEARTS 俠骨仁心', 'FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD 食神', 'A BETTER TOMORROW 再見艷陽天' These are all the original series produced by ATV.

ATV also provide the fastest, unbiased news to the public, they have a borad connection worldwide to be able to deliver the fastest news to the viewers in HK.

ATV Enterprise Limited (ATVE), owned by ATV, Asia Television Ltd. websites - www.hkatv.com and www.hkatv.com.cn - it mainly present a wide broad of soft new entertainment infotainment and hard news. there is a large nmber of people visiting the ATV website internationality everyday. In Hong Kong, Roadshow provide ATV entertainment on the buses. Guangdong TV station in Mainland China deliver news and entertainment as well.
