Battle of Passchendaele

The term Battle of Passchendaele is normally used to refer to the Third Battle of Ypres, 31 July 1917 - 6 November 1917, or more specifically the First Battle of Passchendaele (12 October 1917) and the Second Battle of Passchendaele (26 October - 6 November 1917) are used to describe phases of the wider battle. This battle is documented at the Wikipedia article Passchendaele.

Another Battle of Passchendaele, fought October 10-29, 1918, was an engagement of the French-British-Belgian army under French General Degoutte against the German army under General Rupprecht.
