BIKINI Alert States

The BIKINI Alert States are a series of codes used by the British armed forces to indicate levels of alertness. The Alert States are:

• White
• Black
• Black Special
• Amber
• Red

Unlike the DEFCON levels by the US armed forces, the BIKINI states have no nationally agreed significance and are defined locally.
