BOFH
BOFH is an acronym standing for the Bastard Operator From Hell. This is Internet slang, long found on Usenet and IRC. "BOFH" was made famous by a humorous saga, written by Simon Travaglia, about a vindictive system administrator who takes out his anger on lusers.By extension, the term is also used to refer to any system administrator who displays the qualities of the original. The traditional tool of the BOFH is the Luser Attitude Readjustment Tool (LART).
The BOFH stories are currently published every few weeks in The Register. Several books of the stories have also been released.
