Casco Township is a township located in St. Clair County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 4,747.

Geography

\nAs of the census of 2000, there are 4,747 people, 1,634 households, and 1,294 families residing in the township. The population density is 49.4/km² (127.9/mi²). There are 1,717 housing units at an average density of 17.9/km² (46.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 96.57% White, 0.51% African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 2.25% from two or more races. 0.93% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,634 households out of which 38.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.5% are married couples living together, 9.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.8% are non-families. 16.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
