Castellón (province)

Castellón (Catalan, Castelló) is a province of eastern Spain, in the northern part of the autonomous community of Valencia. It is bordered by the provinces of Valencia, Teruel, Tarragona, and the Mediterranean Sea.

Its capital is Castellón de la Plana. The province has a population of 501,237 (2002), of whom 30% reside in the capital.
