Caversham

Caversham is a town in the borough of Reading, England. It lies on the north bank of the River Thames, within the traditional boundaries of Oxfordshire, on the opposite bank from Reading proper.

Caversham is home to BBC Monitoring, the section of the BBC that listens to broadcasts from other countries in order to watch for breaking news and other notable events. In the middle ages it was one of the demesnes of William Marshal (1146 or 47 - 1219) and the place of his death.
