Collateral Damage

Collateral Damage is a 2002 film which tells the story of a Los Angeles firefighter Gordy Brewer (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) who looks to avenge his son's and wife's deaths at the hands of a guerrilla commando, by traveling to Colombia and facing his son's killers. The man's family was collateral damage in an attack aimed at members of the Colombian consulate and American intelligence agents.

The movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Francesca Neri, Elias Koteas, Cliff Curtis, John Leguizamo, John Turturro, Rick Worthy, Lindsay Frost and Ethan Dampf.

It was written by Ronald Roose, David Griffiths and Peter Griffiths. It was directed by Andrew Davis.

The movie was supposed to include famous Colombian actress Sofia Vergara, who played an airplane hijacker. But, after the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack the scene where Vergara would hijack a plane was scratched from the movie. The film was originally scheduled to be released on October 5, 2001, but it was posponed due to its terrorism theme. The film was eventually released February 8, 2002.
