Crystallomancy

Crystallomancy (also known as catoptromancy) is a method of divination involving gazing into a a reflective object. Shiny stones, mirrors and crystal balls are commonly used. Practitioners of crystallomancy can allegedly see the future by doing this.

The witch in Snow White who asks her mirror “Mirror, mirror, on the wall. Who is the fairest of them all?” can be said to be practicing crystallomancy.
