DartMUD
Dartmud is a well known MUD, or online text-based roleplaying game. It is distinctive for having the possibility of permanent character death, and for having some spells which are known to very few players, and indeed may be closely held secrets.Because death can be permanent, characters very rarely kill one another, and often even major in-game political conflicts are resolved peacibly.
