Dennis Moore
Dennis Moore (born
1945),
American politician, has been a
Republican member of the
United States House of Representatives since
1995, representing the Third Congressional District of
Kansas. Born in
Anthony, Kansas, he attended the
University of Kansas and received a degree in
Law from
Washburn University. He served in the
U.S. Army before becoming Assistant Attorney General of Kansas. After a period in private practice, he was elected District Attorney in
Johnson County, serving in that capacity from
1976 to
1989. He was elected to the House in
1994.
