Dragan Čović is a member of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing the nation's Croat population, along with Mirko Šarović and Sulejman Tihić who represent Serbs and Bosniaks respectively.

He was elected in October 2002 to serve a four-year term. He is currently taking his turn as leader of the presidency. Before his election he had been a senior minister in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a lecturer at the University of Mostar.
