Earl of Berkshire

The title of Earl of Berkshire was created in the Peerage of England for the first time in 1621 for Francis Norris, Lord Norris of Rycote. Following his death the next year, the title was recreated in 1626 for Thomas Howard, 1st Viscount Andover, a younger son of the 1st Earl of Suffolk. The title became merged with the Earldom of Suffolk in 1745, so for later earls, see Earl of Suffolk
