Effie Gray
Euphemia 'Effie' Gray (1828-1897)The wife of John Ruskin and later of John Everett Millais. Effie was born in Perth, Scotland. Her unhappy marriage to Ruskin was annulled on the grounds of non-consummation. She married Ruskin's protégé Millais shortly thereafter, bearing him eight children. She also modelled for a number of his works, notably "The Order of Release" and "Peace Concluded".
