EncycloZine

EncycloZine is a website and Amazon.com affiliate that describes itself as "The Encyclopedia of Books and Knowledge", having nearly 1,000 articles on Applied Arts and Sciences, Arts and Culture, Humanities and Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Reference and Research, and Space and Astronomy.

It comprises 4 sub-sites: Artzia (arts and humanities), diXionary (dictionary/thesaurus), Eluzions (games, puzzles, and illusions), and Kosmoi (science and technology). The largest sections are on web development, and astronomy. The most popular is the optical illusions section.

The articles are written by several authors or adapted from open / public domain resources including Wikipedia. Most articles also list recommended books and websites on the article subject. Clicking on one of the many book advertisements takes visitors to the page on Amazon where the book is reviewed and can be ordered.

Using HTML's successor, XHTML, EncycloZine is produced by Alan and Lucy Richmond, founders of the Web Developer's Virtual Library (now owned by internet.com).
