Frankie Gavin

Irish fiddle player, born 1956, Corrandulla, Co. Galway, Republic of Ireland. Founder member of 1970s Irish traditional supergroup De Dannan. Plays in a very fast and virtuosic Galway style. Has recorded and played with many of the best traditional musicians of his generation, and collaborated with artists as diverse as the Rolling Stones and Stephane Grapelli.
