Henry Dearborn

Henry Dearborn (1751-1829) was an American physician and soldier from New Hampshire. In the American Revolutionary War he became a Colonel of the Continental Army, and was a Major General in the War of 1812.

He fought at the Battle of Bunker Hill and accompanied the Arnold Expedition. During the Battle of Quebec (1775) he was captured. After he was exchanged in 1777 he served at the Battle of Saratoga. Henry was at Valley Forge and fought at the Battle of Monmouth. He accompanied the Sullivan Expedition against New York's Indians. Finally, he was present when Cornwallis surrendered after the Battle of Yorktown.
