Hiroshima Peace Memorial

zh-cn:广岛和平纪念公园

Hiroshima Peace Memorial, called Genbaku Dome (原爆ドーム) by Japanese is a UNESCO world heritage site located in Hiroshima, Japan. The memorial was once The Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. The 6th August 1945 atomic explosion's hypocenter was directly above the building and it was the only structure left standing in the area afterwards. It has been preserved in the same state as immediately after the bombing and now serves as the reminder of nuclear devastation and symbol of hope for world peace and elimination of all nuclear weapons.
