Horror punk is a dark style of music mixing punk rock and gothic sounds with morbid imagery. Often, song topics are taken from horror movies, but the best horror punk creates atmosphere by telling tales through the song.The Misfits could be considered to be the first horror punk band. They was followed by bands like Samhain, 45 Grave, and Mourning Noise.
