In Flames
In Flames are a Swedish heavy metal band. Formed in the late 1980s by guitarist Jesper Strömblad, the band mix death metal with an Iron Maiden influence. The original line up recorded some songs for a demo, which quickly gathered interest. When asked if they had enough songs for an album, they lied, and quickly wrote what would become Lunar Strain.Though they have had underground success, they band have started to recently break through to the metal mainstream on the back of tours with Slipknot and Slayer.
