Jim Kelly

Jim Kelly, an American football quarterback, is the Buffalo Bills' all-time leader in multiple passing categories also ranks among the National Football League's career leaders in many statistics. Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio in 2002.

The Pennsylvania native was a fan favorite during his tenure in Buffalo, leading the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances from 1991-1994, a feat that has not to date been duplicated (and may never be again).

Drafted by the Bills out of the University of Miami, where his teams were among the best NCAA programs nationally, Kelly opted instead to join the fledgling United States Football League (USFL) and played for the Houston Gamblers. He was among the league's best passers, but the league folded due to financial troubles and its players were dispersed among the existing NFL teams. Buffalo, which retained Kelly's draft rights, welcomed the quarterback with open arms.
