Little Miss Marker

Little Miss Marker (also known as The Girl in Pawn) is a 1934 film which tells the story of a young girl whose father leaves her as collateral to pay off a gambling debt. It stars Shirley Temple, Adolphe Menjou, Charles Bickford and Dorothy Dell.

The movie was adapted by Sam Hellman, Gladys Lehman and William R. Lipman from the story by Damon Runyon. It was directed by Alexander Hall. The film has been deemed "culturally significant" by the Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry.
