Mafalda

Mafalda is a comic strip created by the Argentinian cartoonist Quino in 1964. The strip features a little girl with a deep concern about humanity and world peace. Mafalda is very popular in Latin America (especially in Argentina) and in Spain and has been used to promote human rights.

• Mafalda (1964). A little girl who hates soup.

• Felipe (1965). Has big front teeth.
• Manolito (1965). The son of a Spanish shopkeeper, always concerned about money.
• Susanita (1965). A frivolous girl.
• Guille (1967, not drawn till 1968). Mafalda's little brother.
• Miguelito
• Libertad (1970). A very tiny girl. Her name means "Liberty". Everybody makes the obvious remark.
