Maria White Lowell

Maria White Lowell (8 July, 1821 - 27 October, 1853) was a United States poet and abolitionist.

She was born as Maria White in Watertown, Massachusetts. In 1844 she married James Russell Lowell, also a noted poet and writer. They had four children, three of whom died in infancy.

Maria White Lowell died in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
