Mario del Monaco

Mario was born in Firenze. As a young boy he studyed the violin but had a passion for singing. Maestro Raffaelli recoginised his talent and helped start his carrer. He married Rina Filippini in 1941.

His main carrer began in the 1940s and he retired in 1975.
