Mark R. Warner

Mark R. Warner (born December 15, 1954) is an American politician, currently the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is known as a moderate liberal Democrat, who is pro-choice, pro-labor, but is apparently against gun control.

Warner was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from George Washington University in 1977, being the first person in his family to graduate from college. He then graduated from Harvard Law School in 1980. Before becoming Governor of Virginia in 2000, Warner was involved in telecommunications, Information Technology (IT), educational opportunities, and his main profession, law. He managed L. Douglas Wilder's successful 1989 campaign.
