Met Center

Met Center also called Metropolitan Sports Center, was built in 1967 in Bloomington, Minnesota as the home of the NHL's Minnesota North Stars and ABA's Minnesota Muskies. The stadium seated 15,000. The Muskies played just one season, before moving to Miami. They were replaced by the Minnesota Pipers, who also played only one season. The North Stars played at the Met Center until the spring of 1993, when they moved to Dallas. The MISL Minnesota Strikers played indoor soccer at the Met Center from 1984-1988. The stadium was taken down in 1994.
