Minoo

Minō (箕面市; -shi) is a city located in Osaka prefecture, Japan, about 15 km north of the city of Osaka. It is accessed by the Hankyu Railway from Umeda Station.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 125,259 and the density of 2,618.29 persons per km². The total area is 47.84 km².

Minoo is best known for Meiji no Mori Minoo Quasi-National Park, one of Japan's oldest national parks, which houses a large population of wild monkeys.

The city was founded on December 1, 1956.
