Nautical archaeology

Nautical archaeology is the study of past human activity by the physical remains of maritime activities. It can be explained as maritime archaeology, specialising in maritime activities and technology such as ships, boats and other craft.

• Recovery of the Tudor warship Mary Rose from the Solent.
