Omnivore

Omnivores are organisms that consume on both plants and animals.

At one time the word omnivore was used to designate the pig family.

Examples:

• Mammals
  • many pigs
  • many bears
  • many primates (including humans)
  • domestic dogs and cats
  • some rodents
  • opossums
