On the Town with The League of Gentlemen (radio series)

On the Town with The League of Gentlemen was a radio series on BBC Radio 4, based on the Perrier Award-winning act, The League Of Gentlemen.

It was broadcast in six episodes from November 6 to December 11 1997. It won a Sony Award and the team, together with radio producer Sarah Smith, then made the transition to television.

The League Of Gentlemen took their name from the 1960 crime comedy movie starring Jack Hawkins, based on John Boland's crime thriller novel.
