Oulu
Oulu (Uleåborg in Finland-Swedish) is a municipality in the province of Oulu, in Finland.
With its population of 123274, Oulu is the sixth biggest city of Finland. The municipality covers an area of 338,53 kmē of which 10,9 kmē is water. The population density is 380,27 inhabitants per kmē. Oulu is part of the Pohjois-Pohjanmaa region.
Political decisions have made Oulu a technology centre of Northern Finland, there is for example a technology park located in the city. The University of Oulu is located 6 km north from the city center.
