Queer as Folk (US)

Queer as Folk (US) is an American television series produced by Showtime, which is based on the British series created by Russell T Davies. This US version Queer as Folk is directed by Kari Skogland, story by Ron Cowen & Daniel Lipman & Del Shores. The starrings are as follow:

  • Randy Harrison as Justin Taylor
  • Hal Sparks as Michael Novotny
  • Peter Paige as Emmett Honeycutt
  • Scott Lowell as Ted Schmidt
  • Thea Gill as Lindsay Peterson

This show contains 3 seasons so far:
  • Season I: 22 episodes
  • Season II: 20 episodes
  • Season III: 14 episodes

This series is principly about the story of four gay men Brian, Michael, Emmett, Ted, and a lesbian couple, Lindsay and Melanie.

The show is noted for its relative frankness in its depiction of gay lifestyles and sex. The series also won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series, 2001.
