Rättvik

Rättvik is a municipality in central Sweden, in the county of Dalarna. The municipality covers an area of 1933.4 km². Of the total population of 10847, 5350 are male, and 5497 are female. The population density of the community is 6 inhabitants per km².

Rättvik is a worldwide-known smalltown in the middle of Sweden in the province of Dalecarlia. Rättvik are famous for their old tradition of folkmusic and the beauty of surroundings close to the lake Siljan Many tourists who are visiting Sweden, goes to Rättvik to experience a traditional Swedish and Scandinavian way of living.

The area near Rättvik has the highest population of Brown bears in Sweden. Rättvik is also close to the little village of Nusnäs, where the original Swedish Dalecarlian Horses or Dalahästar are still being handmade. Rättvik is in the middle of 3 greater cities; Borlänge, Falun and Mora.
