Rapcore

Rapcore, also called rap/rock or rap/metal is the fusion of rap and rock, most often rapping and music that is closer to rock than rap, most often metal. The roots of rapcore can be found in records by the Beastie Boys and Run DMC. Typical of rapcore are political bands like Rage Against The Machine, Senser and Aztlan Underground on the one hand and fun/aggression-oriented artists like Limp Bizkit or Kid Rock.The first dedicated rapcore band was probably the little-known Dutch group Urban Dance Squad that inspired the founders of Rage Against The Machine.
