Rex Murphy

Rex Murphy is a noted Canadian commentator. He was born and raised in Newfoundland before going on to Oxford University as a Rhodes scholar. Murpy is a frequent presence on the various branches of the CBC. He has regular commentary segments entitled "Rex's Point of View" on the national news. Every Sunday afternoon on CBC Radio One he hosts Cross Country Checkup, a nationwide call-in show.

Murphy also writes a regular column for the Globe and Mail newspaper. Murphy is renowned for his polysyllabic diatribes.
