Rick Mercer's Monday Report

Rick Mercer's Monday Report is a Canadian television comedy. Begun in 2004, the show focuses on Canadian politics, combining news parody, sketch comedy and satirical editorials.

Every week, comedian Rick Mercer hits the road and talks to Canadians while doing on-the-street reports, ambushes politicians, collects opinions and delivers his famous rants. He also satirizes the weekly news and Canadian political events. Each show also includes a monologue in front of a live audience in Toronto, Ontario in Canada.

With the cast of characters changing on Parliament Hill, a new regime needs satirists to keep them honest.

Monday Report is a production between Island Edge Inc and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and airs Monday nights at 8pm.
