Rupert the Bear

Rupert the Bear is a cartoon character started by Mary Tourtel in the 1920s. He had several friends, like Bill the Badger. He also travelled to a number of fantasy worlds and met strange creatures. Later cartoons appeared in the Express newspaper and several tv shows have been made.
