Saab Quantum

SAAB Quantum was a car from SAAB built in the USA using SAAB two stroke engine and other Saab 96 parts. The Quantum was first presented in 1962 and was only built in a few copies. Due to lacking quality it was turned down by Saab in Sweden and never went into production.

The engine was a water cooled, three cylinder 841 cc two stroke engine with three Solex 34W carburators giving 57 hp. The top speed was 155 km/h and it did 0-100 in 16 seconds. The chassis was computer engineered by somebody at IBM in his spare time.
