Seven Cities of Gold

Created by Dani Bunten, the Seven Cities of Gold was a massive hit. It is an early Electronic Arts computer game. First released on the Apple II in 1984 then on the Amiga 1000 in 1985, you play the role of a conquistador. You must buy ships, food and men for your expedition. Then you get to sail out to the new world, meet natives, trade with them and fight them. You can also build caches and forts. The gameplay is excellent. The graphics were way ahead of their time. The game was re-released in 1993 for DOS.
