Snorkeling

Snorkeling is the practice of swimming at the surface of a water extent (typically of the sea) being equipped with a mask and a short tube called snorkel, at the scope of visually exploring the underwater environment.

It is of simple use, it only requires a regular swimming training, a brief training with the breathing manoeuvre (air has to be "thrown" away, before inspiring again), but it can offer an interesting opportunity to see fishes, plants and other components of the biological context.

Mask and snorkel are effectively similar to those used in Scuba diving, but given that usually no immersion is required for this practice, they can be more comfortable for dimensions and materials.
