Susitna River

The 'Susitna River\' runs from the Alaska Range into Cook Inlet

Pronunciation: "soo-SIT-nuh" - Located in south central Alaska the Susitna river rises in Susitna Glacier on Mt. Hayes in the Alaska Range; flows in winding course generally SW to Curry, then south, past Talkeetna, Chulitna, and Susitna, to the head of Cook Inlet 25 mi/40 km west of Anchorage, Alaska.
