The Amazing Colossal Man

The Amazing Colossal Man is the title of a 1957 motion picture starring Glenn Langan. Langan plays a soldier in the U.S. Army who, following an inadvertant exposure to plutonium radiation, grows 50ft. tall. At this size his heart is unable to supply sufficient blood to his brain and he gradually goes insane. He eventually escapes from confinement, "kidnaps" his girlfriend (played by Carol Forrest) and wreaks havoc in Las Vegas.

The movie was co-written by Mark Hanna, who also wrote the companion-movie Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958). A sequel War of the Colossal Beast appeared in 1958.
