The Apostle

The Apostle is a 1997 film which tells the story of a minister who puts his wife's lover into a coma, then flees, trying to make something out of the rest of his life. It stars Robert Duvall, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Bob Thornton, June Carter Cash, Miranda Richardson and Todd Allen.

The movie was written and directed by Duvall.

It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor (Robert Duvall).
