The Archies

In the fictional Archie universe, The Archies is the name of the garage band featuring Archie Andrews, Reggie Mantle, and Jughead Jones.

In the later era, the Archies also include Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge.

The Archies play a variety of music, usually rock, but also music consistent in the era in which the comic is drawn.

The roles the teens play in the band:

• Archie, Lead Guitarist
• Reggie, Backup Guitarist
• Jughead, Drums
• Betty, Tambourine
• Veronica, Keyboard

In conjunction with the animated series, The Archie Show, a set of studio musicians were assembled to perform various songs. The most famous is Sugar, Sugar which went to #1 on the pop chart.
