The Birds (film)

The Birds is a 1963 horror film by Alfred Hitchcock, based on a short story by Daphne Du Maurier, who also wrote the novel Hitchcock's film Rebecca was based on. In the film, various kinds of birds attack Bodega Bay, California, a seaside village. The film stars Tippi Hedren and Rod Taylor. It may be noted that in Du Maurier's story, the birds attack Great Britain instead of California.

The script was written by Evan Hunter, better known as crime fiction novelist Ed McBain.
